Custom Wedding Gown

This was a custom designed wedding gown, made using a cotton silk blend fabric with a scalloped lace over layer. Above is the starting sketch, after talking about the details that she was looking for. The final design has a wider strap, a higher back neckline and an added godet to the center back seam for a fuller train. The train is unlined to show off the lace pattern. Fitted through the body with a slight flair below the knee. The dress body is underlined in cotton for stability and has light weight boning in the side seams. The back skirt bustles with two hooks. back invisible zipper. Matching veil features the same lace as the dress, hand cut to trim the edge.

Custom Hot Pink Evening Gown

This custom gown was inspired by the stills below. Made using a hot pink bias cut satin fabric with gold trimmed under bust band. Low scoop back with invisible zipper. The bust straps are twisted and hand sewn to a ribbon on the underside to keep the twist in place and hook at the back of the neck. I also did full coverage cups as requested by my customer with built in bra cups. A matching bracelet/cuff with gold trim and pink covered buttons.

Elizabeth Taylor- Cat On A Hot Tin Roof-Chiffon Dress

This is a dress I just finished. I have a back log of dresses made in the past month or so that i haven't blogged about yet, i will be adding those soon.  I have been busy between my teething baby and orders.

My client chose a plum chiffon with a plum satin lining. The waist has some elastic at the seam to allow for a baby bump as well as some extra holes in the belt to make fitting easier to adjust. The chiffon drapes along the V-neckline in one piece in the back, the front is draped in 4 pieces, though the original dress has the diagonal side drapes coming from the back piece (not as separately cut details) but its easier to alter later with normal side seams. The skirt is two full circles for the chiffon and one circle for the satin lining so there are side front and back seams in the chiffon. My Etsy shop Morningstar84
